Built in 1896 and recently restored to its entire royal splendor, this fabulous hall seems completely out of place in the dense jungle setting. Afterwards, the bus will arrive at the Indian Museum, dedicated to the lost Indian cultures of the region, which features wooden blowpipes, feather headdresses and unexplained artifacts. After a ride through the historical part of Manaus the bus will arrive at the Municipal Market. Difference in density, temperature and velocity of the two rivers contribute to form this phenomenon. Cruise on the Amazon river and proceed to Lake Janaury to see Victoria Regia water lillies. Lunch is served in a floating restaurant. After lunch, a ride in canoes through the natural channels. A stop is made for fishing, to try to catch some of the local fish such as Piranha, Tucunare’, Dourado, Tambaqui and more. When night falls, depart to nearby lagoons or narrow creeks to search for night animals and to see how the local guides catch alligators with their bare hands! The reptiles are usually spotted by a torchlight and their eyes shine like rubies in the light. With great dexterity the guide catches it with his hands and takes it out of the water for visitors to have a look, after that, he returns the creature to the water. Dinner and return to the docks.
